About the Role:
My customer is looking for a motivated principal planner to lead the planning team in Christchurch office. This is an opportunity for a skilled and innovative planner to take a management role and grow their career.
In addition to running the team, the Principal planner will be responsible for the management of a diverse range of projects and clients. The work is varied, ranging from residential, commercial and rural development, to large scale comprehensive land development projects. We require someone who has strong communication skills and has great relationships with local and regional councils and stakeholders.
The role comes with excellent remuneration and a great life work balance. flexibility can be provided in both job location and hours worked.
Tertiary qualification in planning.
Membership to NZPI (or eligible).
Have a minimum of 6 years of relevant NZ experience.
Experience in project management and leadership, including leading multidisciplinary project teams.
Prepare expert evidence and attend hearings.
Enjoy working with clients, local and regional authorities and other stakeholders.
Enjoy creating strong relationships with other experts such as architects, landscape architects, urban designers, accoustic and transport engineers.
Commercial awareness and be commited to excellent client service.
